Finally a Dachshund backpack made for Dachshunds
Carrying a Dachshund weighing over 8 kg? Until now, that wasn't exactly easy. Many dog backpacks are made for small dogs up to 8 kg, have a base that is too short, or are designed to make a dog sit upright. Not exactly ideal for the distinctively long Dachshund body and their vulnerable back.
That is why we developed the Wolf & Bear Dachshund Backpack ourselves: a backpack designed from the first sketch around the unique physique of the Dachshund, with the owner's carrying comfort in mind. Because carrying 8, 10, or even 12 kg comfortably requires just a little more from a Dachshund backpack.
No upright-sitting Dachshund in a backpack that is too short, but plenty of room to lie down horizontally in comfort, with support along the entire length of the back. And finally, the larger standard Dachshunds have been considered too.
Backpack Wolf is there for Dachshunds up to 8 kg, and the Bear for Dachshunds from 8 to 12 kg. From the smallest Dachshund to a sturdy Standard: finally a backpack in which that long body truly gets the space it needs.

Horizontal & good support
The Wolf & Bear Backpack is designed so that your Dachshund can lie comfortably in a horizontal position. The extra sturdy yet lightweight base prevents your Dachshund from "sagging" in the backpack with its long back and ensures a straight, stable foundation.
Together with the orthopedic cushion, the body is supported along its entire length. Comfortable on the go and immediately a nice place to lie down when you set the backpack down at your destination.
Comfortable for you
Carrying a Dachshund of 8, 10, or even 12 kg requires more than just good shoulder straps. That is why this Dachshund backpack is designed to distribute the weight over your body as comfortably as possible.
The wide, adjustable shoulder straps are equipped with soft foam padding, and the adjustable chest and hip straps help you distribute the weight across your body. The back panel is also softly padded with foam for extra carrying comfort.
Above the chest are handy hand loops that allow you to temporarily take some of the weight with your hands during more strenuous moments and distribute the pressure.
More than just a Dachshund backpack
One side can be opened completely so your Dachshund can easily walk in and out of the backpack itself. On the other side is a viewing window, allowing your Dachshund to look outside during the journey and have plenty of contact with you and the surroundings. Inside is a safety tether that should always be used in combination with a well-fitting harness.
The top is made of ventilating mesh for sufficient air circulation and can be fully unzipped and rolled up. This makes it easy to turn the backpack into a comfortable place to lie down, rest, or look around when you reach your destination.
This makes the Wolf & Bear not just a backpack to carry your Dachshund in, but also a little home for on the go and at your destination.
Everything in one Dachshund backpack
If you are already carrying your Dachshund on your back, you don't want to bring an extra bag as well. That is why this backpack has plenty of smart storage space for, for example, a leash, snacks, water bottle, keys, and wallet.
You can even take your laptop along in the separate compartment by the back panel. Valuables can be stored safely in the hidden zipper in the flap, and thanks to the elastic straps under the backpack, you can easily roll up a jacket or blanket to take with you. Super handy!
Out and about together
Short legs can do a surprising amount, but sometimes it is just enough. The Wolf & Bear is not meant to replace walking, but rather to ensure that your Dachshund can join you longer and more often.
Think of long walks and hikes where your Dachshund can take a break along the way, but also city trips (yes, you can enter a shop together!), holidays, public transport, restaurants, and days out. For older Dachshunds who still love to come along but can no longer walk the same distances, this backpack is also the perfect solution.
