The seatpost holder is only necessary if you want to use the Buddyrider on multiple bikes and is included when you order the Buddyrider itself. You can also purchase this holder as an optional extra.
You can leave this mount on your bike, even when you're not cycling with the Buddyrider. It won't bother you while cycling.
Note: The seatpost holder cannot be attached to a carbon seatpost, a full-suspension seatpost, or a seatpost that is positioned straight up. Read more about this in the Buddyrider section .
