The Dachshund Cave
The Dachshund cave is that special bed where your Dachshund immediately thinks: yes, this is my spot! This dog bed comes with a little roof. Dachshunds love nests and blankets. The front of the cave stays nicely open thanks to a hidden flexible bow, while the back drapes softly over your dog like a blanket. It feels like a warm hug, but in bed form. Best of all, the canopy is attached to the base of the bed, so your Dachshund has plenty of room to stretch out. Of course, the cave can also be used without the flexible bow, then the cover simply falls over the bed. Some Dachshunds prefer it that way.

Material
Outer cover: premium polyester with OEKO-TEX® certification. Cushion covers are made of water-repellent, breathable, tear-resistant, and biodegradable fabric.
Inside: cushions and cave lining are soft Sherpa fleece. The finishing details are vegan leather, also OEKO-TEX® certified. The inner cushions are filled with lightweight siliconized polyester.
Color
Outer cover: herringbone brown, the inside of the cave is cream.
Inside cushion: reversible with one side cream and the other side herringbone brown.
Sizes
If you’re unsure whether your Dachshund fits in the smaller size, always choose size M. It’s important your dog fits well so the mattress can work therapeutically: your Dachshund should lie fully on the cushion, not partly off.
Size S: 65 x 55 x 40 cm — suitable for Kaninchen and small dwarf Dachshunds.
Size M: 85 x 75 x 55 cm — suitable for large dwarf and standard Dachshunds.
Washing instructions
To ensure a long life for your Dachshund cave, wash as little as possible. If it gets dirty, let dirt dry and then brush or wipe it off with a damp cloth. Hang the parts outside to air out. If washing is needed, first remove the reinforcement from the side seam and take the cushions out of the cover. Wash the cover and cave at 30°C on a gentle cycle and air dry (do not tumble dry).
