In our Hashteckel collection, the hemp Teckel puppy harness is an absolute must-have. This H-harness is specially designed for growing Dachshund puppies and ensures even pressure distribution from the very first walk. That way, your pup can explore the world in comfort and style. The harness is designed in the Netherlands, made from strong, soft, and sustainable hemp, and handcrafted in our own atelier in Italy. Perfect fit
The unique physique of Dachshunds calls for a harness tailored specifically to their anatomy. This Dachshund puppy harness was developed with exactly that in mind. It takes into account a young pup’s narrow neck, broad shoulders, deep chest, and long back. Because the harness sits further along the back, it stays clear of the armpits and allows the shoulder blades to move freely. With an extended back panel and adjustable chest and neck straps, this H-harness grows smoothly along with your pup. Grows with your puppy
One of the biggest benefits of this Dachshund puppy H-harness is its three-point adjustability. That means it grows with your puppy – from their very first walks until they’re nearly fully grown. It’s adjustable around the neck, chest, and back length (under the belly), making it a long-lasting fit. Female pups can usually wear this harness up to around 8 months, and males up to around 10 months. After that, you can switch to a Y-harness – which, in our collection, is also the final adult harness. That way, you’ll usually only need to buy two harnesses in total for your Dachshund.

Measuring advice

Neck-shoulder area: measure the neck and shoulders all the way around, including the breastbone (the point).
Chest: measure the chest all the way around, two fingers behind the front legs.

Are you getting a Dachshund puppy soon but can't measure them yet? No worries – with this size chart, you can easily choose the right size. The chart is based on years of experience with Dachshund puppies and our own sizing system, and it applies to pups around 8 to 10 weeks old. If you choose the right size according to the advice, the Dachshund puppy harness usually grows with them until about 8 to 10 months. After that, you’ll switch to a final harness – for us, that’s the Dachshund Y-harness. So you can confidently order this puppy harness remotely. In rare cases, such as during a rapid growth spurt, a second puppy H-harness might be needed in between.

Maintenance instructions
For a long life, this harness can be rinsed in soapy water if it smells strongly. Let it air dry for a while and do not put it in the washing machine.
