Perfect fit
Thanks to their unique physique, Dachshunds need a harness tailored to their body shape. This harness for your Dachshund puppy is designed with every detail in mind: a narrow neck, broad shoulders, deep chest, and a long back. Because the harness sits further back, it stays clear of the armpits and allows free movement of the shoulder blades. With an adjustable neck and chest circumference and an extended back panel, this H-harness grows along with your puppy. Grows with your puppy
What makes this harness for your Dachshund puppy so special is that it’s adjustable in three key areas: neck, chest, and under the belly. This allows the harness to adapt seamlessly as your pup grows, from those early days until nearly full-grown. For females, it generally fits until around 8 months; for males, up to about 10 months – depending on the chosen size. After that, it's time to switch to a Y-harness, which for us is the final harness. This way, you’ll usually only need two harnesses to cover your Dachshund’s entire growth phase.

Measuring advice

Neck-shoulder area: measure the neck and shoulders all the way around, including the breastbone (the point).
Chest: measure the chest all the way around, two fingers behind the front legs.

Are you getting a Dachshund puppy soon but can't measure them yet? No worries – with this size chart, you can easily choose the right size. The chart is based on years of experience with Dachshund puppies and our own sizing system, and it applies to pups around 8 to 10 weeks old. If you choose the right size according to the advice, the Dachshund puppy harness usually grows with them until about 8 to 10 months. After that, you’ll switch to a final harness – for us, that’s the Dachshund Y-harness. So you can confidently order this puppy harness remotely. In rare cases, such as during a rapid growth spurt, a second puppy H-harness might be needed in between.

Maintenance instructions
For a long life, this harness can be rinsed in soapy water if it smells strongly. Let it air dry for a while and do not put it in the washing machine.
