Why choose the Flex-Arm®?
Do you already own the BuddyRider® Series 1 or 2? Then you can order the Flex-Arm® separately here. This separately available arm literally takes your BuddyRider® to the next level. With more adjustment options, forward and backward, upward and downward, you can perfectly fit the seat to your bike. This arm is ideal for smaller frames or bikes with higher handlebars or a display.
This redesigned support arm replaces the standard arm and is specially designed for compact bikes and smaller riders. What makes this model unique is that it can be tilted to bend over the handlebars if needed. This prevents your knees from bumping into the seat while pedaling – handy if you’re a bit shorter or have a smaller frame. The result of this upgrade is a safer, more stable, and more comfortable ride for both you and your Dachshund.
When to choose the Flex-Arm®?
Since November 2025, you can select the correct support arm for your bike when checking out your BuddyRider® seat. Previously, the seat came with the standard arm, but now you can make your own choice. This Flex-Arm® is meant for those who already own a BuddyRider® and want to fine-tune their setup even further. If you’re ordering a new BuddyRider®, you can choose your preferred support arm directly on that product page.
How is the Flex-Arm® supplied?
The Flex-Arm® comes complete with a holder/receiver, suitable for both Series 1 and Series 2 of the BuddyRider®. You don’t need to order it separately. The holder is also available separately in case you’d like an additional one for another bike, so you don’t have to mount and unmount it each time.
Please note: the seat post mount cannot be attached to a carbon seat post, a fully suspended seat post, or a seat post that is positioned vertically. You can read more about this on the BuddyRider® product page.
