The sniffing snuffle mat is a dog game invented in the Netherlands. It puts your dog to work and triggers what he is good at: sniffing! Our Dachshund friends especially love to do it. You hide something tasty, such as a chunk or fresh piece of meat in the sniffing mat (without them seeing it of course!). Then let them sniff and search in the sniffing mat. The reward of sniffing is the candy they find! You are guaranteed to see them wag their tail.

Brain work for dogs stimulates natural behavior. Hiding kibbles brings them close to hunting for food and actually having to do something for it. You can use this sun flower sniffing snuffle mat as a game for when the weather is bad or as extra brain work. You can also use the sniffing mat to hide the meal: this way your dog eats more slowly (better digestion) and it stimulates the brain. So two birds with one stone. NOTE: never leave your dog alone with the sniffing mat. It is not a toy that they can reach all the time: you choose a moment to start the game and remove the large sniffing mat after they are finished sniffing. It is therefore absolutely not a toy that you can leave your dog alone with. Incidentally, it also remains fun if you take the sniffing mat and put it away again, so they don't get bored with it.

Washing instructions
The sniffing mat can be washed at 30*C in a laundry bag or pillowcase. After centrifuging, it is best to let the sniffing mat dry upside down. Do not put in the dryer, just hang out for a while.
