The sweater was not available online for a long time because the sizing is more precise than with our adjustable Dachshund coats. In the meantime, we have developed an extensive size chart and clear instructional videos so that you can easily choose the right size (check them out under 'product videos').

This sweater for your Dachshund is fully designed for their unique body. With extra length on the back and a fit that takes into account the deep chest, the sweater fits snugly without pinching. The fitted design ensures that warmth is retained well and feels comfortable like a second skin.

You might immediately think of indoor wear when you hear fleece sweater, but nothing could be further from the truth! This sweater for your Dachshund is specifically made for outdoors. The fabric protects against cold, wind, and light moisture and is highly water-repellent (but not completely waterproof). Snow is also well repelled. The thick fleece material is breathable and quick-drying, keeping your Dachshund warm without the fabric feeling heavy. Perfect for every walk, sniff-walk, or outdoor adventure.

The sweater combines warmth with flexibility. Thanks to the stretch, your Dachshund can move freely, and you can easily put the sweater on and take it off. The generous openings at the legs provide extra wearing comfort and easy donning. The underside extends further to ensure the belly is also well protected from the cold. For male dogs, note that the bottom may sometimes be a bit wider, allowing them to pee into it. In some cases, this can be easily solved with a small stitch.

This sweater for Dachshunds is suitable for all coat types. For short-haired Dachshunds, it's a nice warm layer in spring and autumn, and in winter, it can be combined well with one of our neoprene or wax coats. For wire-haired and long-haired Dachshunds with a good coat, the sweater is often sufficient in winter.

The sweater does not have an opening for a harness. Therefore, wear a harness over the sweater, preferably a model that sits further back on the back. Y and H harnesses are most suitable for this.
