This sweater was not available online for a long time, as the sizing is more challenging than with our adjustable Dachshund coats. We have now developed the perfect size chart and clear instruction videos, so you can confidently choose the right size (watch the videos under 'product videos').

The Dachshund fleece sweater is perfectly tailored to the Dachshund's body. Thanks to the fit for a deep chest and extra length on the back, the sweater fits perfectly. The snug fit acts like a second skin and optimally retains warmth.

We hear you thinking: yes, a Dachshund fleece sweater like that is nice for indoors! But no: this fleece is specially designed for outdoors! The fabric is resistant to cold, wind and damp, highly water-repellent (not waterproof) and also keeps snow out well. The thick fleece is breathable and quick-drying, keeping your Dachshund warm without the fabric feeling heavy or clammy. With this fleece sweater, your Dachshund is ready for any outdoor adventure and every sniffing expedition.

The sweater is warm and has a lot of stretch, allowing your Dachshund to move freely and making it easy to put on and take off. The wide openings at the legs provide extra comfort, as you can also see in the product videos. The bottom extends further for extra protection of the belly. For male dogs, note that the bottom can sometimes be a bit wider, allowing them to urinate inside it. In some cases, a small stitch is enough to adjust this.

The Dachshund fleece sweater is suitable for all types of Dachshunds: for short-haired dogs, a warm layer in spring and autumn and in winter in combination with a neoprene or wax coat. In winter, the jumper is sufficient for rough-haired and long-haired Dachshunds with a good coat.

This sweater has no opening for a harness. This means that a harness must be worn over the sweater, provided it is a harness that sits further back on the back.
