Tough and chic: the perfect wax jacket for your Dachshund ! This wax jacket gives your Dachshund a stylish and functional look. The rugged design and the characteristic signs of wear in the wax create a charming vintage look – completely in the "English gentleman" style. A real eye-catcher! And this jacket is specially designed for the unique build of the Dachshund. Thanks to the extra length, your Dachshund will stay warm and comfortable, even on cold days. No more cold bottoms, and the wide belly band optimally protects the lungs from wind and rain. The water-repellent properties of the wax make this jacket perfect for all outdoor adventures: from a brisk forest walk to a rainy training session in the field. And all with that "hunting vibe."
Whether you have a wire-haired, long-haired, or short-haired Dachshund, this wax jacket for your Dachshund offers excellent protection against moisture. For wire-haired Dachshunds with a thick undercoat, this is the ideal spring and autumn jacket, and sometimes even sufficient for winter. For Dachshunds that get cold easily, such as short-haired Dachshunds, you can combine this jacket with an additional single-layer coat, such as theBurberry or Tartan fleece jacket or woolen mid-layer . This wax jacket has only a cotton inner layer, making it lightweight and comfortable while also keeping rain out—a nice combination of style and functionality, but some Dachshunds need a little more warmth.
All our Dachshund coats, including this wax coat for your Dachshund, are handmade by Eleonora in Italy. This means our Dachshund coats are not mass-produced. After years of experimentation, we have finally found the perfect Dachshund fit together. This Dachshund wax coat is extra long at the back and protects the lungs under the belly with a large flap. The coat has Velcro on the chest and under the belly, allowing for your Dachshund's freedom of movement. Once you've chosen the right size using the measurements below, you can adjust this coat to your Dachshund's body using the Velcro.
This raincoat for your Dachshund doesn't have an eyelet for a harness. This means a harness can be worn over it, provided it falls further down the back. Harnesses other than Y- or H-shaped harnesses won't fit over the coat and will end up in the armpits. Looking for a harness that always fits over this? Check them out here .

Maintenance instructions
To ensure a long lifespan, wash this coat as little as possible. What makes this wax coat so distinctive for your Dachshund is the wax layer. This wax layer needs to liven up a bit and develops beautiful details with wear. If the coat gets dirty, let the dirt dry and polish it off. If you wash this wax coat, it will need to be waxed again. Washing removes the beeswax, and it loses its water-repellent properties. The coat can be washed by hand. Air dry briefly and do not tumble dry.
